Programs and Magnet Pathways
We are a Magnet school with three career pathways: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM); Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA); and Business Entrepreneurship and Technology (BET). Our school benefits from strong community connections and support from our district leaders, fostering an environment that prioritizes educational excellence and student success. We have a rich history, prestigious alumni, and a strong college-going culture, offering abundant scholarship opportunities to support our students’ futures.
Reading Alan High School is the first in our district and state to implement 3DE and project-based learning. Newly introduced to our campus, College Track provides a safe and supportive space for students to explore college and career opportunities as they prepare to earn their bachelor’s degrees, further enhancing the diversity of our nation’s workforce. Our school is one of a few in the region to have an on-campus Wellness Center, offering comprehensive services to both students and the community. We also have a Union Bank branch on campus, providing financial literacy resources and real-world learning experiences for students. Recent renovations have brought a state-of-the-art performing arts center, cafeteria upgrades, flexible seating across campus, and modernized meeting spaces.
We are proud to provide numerous opportunities for student enrichment and support. Reading Alan High School partners with outstanding community-based organizations, local universities, and private institutions to enhance the learning experience. Our academic offerings include a variety of AP classes and electives in business, computer science, sports medicine, visual and performing arts, and graphic design. Additionally, we offer a full range of sports programs, including football, baseball, soccer, volleyball, golf, and more, welcoming both young men and women.
At Reading Alan, every student receives a rich, well-rounded educational experience that prepares them for college and their chosen careers.
